Ronda Turner Obituary

Ronda Lou Turner, a fiercely loyal daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully after a long illness on February 20, 2026.

Born in Gainesville on October 19, 1948, Ronda carried her feisty spirit, deep loyalty, and generous heart through every chapter of her life. She was never one to sit on the sidelines. Whether lining up the perfect shot at the pool table, knocking down pins at the bowling alley, casting a line on the lake, or serving her community through the Women’s Auxiliary at AMVETS Post 36.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and treasured the laughter and companionship of family and friends. Many cherished memories were made around her favorite pastimes, where her competitive streak and quick wit always kept things lively.

Ronda was a devoted and generous friend. Her home—and her heart—were always open to those she loved. Her spitfire spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering generosity will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her beloved sister, Sharon Misenheimer; her brother, Will Colwell; her stepbrothers and stepsisters; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many devoted friends.

She was welcomed home by her daughter, Leslie Joy Turner; her son, Chuck Heatherly; her father, Lester Colwell; her mother, Joyce Blissard; her sisters, Connie Besherse and Vikkie Walk; and her brothers, Alvin and Carroll Colwell.

A Memorial Service will be held at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, Texas, on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Immediately following, a Celebration of Life will be hosted by the Women’s Auxiliary at AMVETS Post 36.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring Ronda’s memory by contributing funds toward the care of her beloved pets or by offering them loving, forever homes.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the incredible West Tawakoni community of friends and caregivers for the generous love and support shown to Ronda over the past 25 years.
